Hello everyone I am having a bit of a problem in getting the Auto Range to engage and its only when I do a cold start. So I assume there is a switch I need to flip somewhere in my startup sequence. I did a few searches and tried everything suggested in several posts here with no avail. Has anyone encountered this? If you go through the start up in the training mission you will see this particular behavior.

I am fairly certain this is in the game but I can figure out how to use it. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

I am working on this right this very minute. What I am trying is placing the export monitors above my main monitor as opposed to the right and left. I am not sure if it will work but I will let you know. EDIT This worked. I had to change my monitor configuration.

I am not sure if this is a new problem or if I am doing something wrong. I have made many missions in the past with carriers and recently I have created a new one and my F-18 spawns in the middle of the deck as opposed to the parking area. I am thinking this is some kind of bug. I have the flight set to Take off from Ramp. Also I loaded an old misson that know worked and its behaving the same way.

Not 100% sure, but this was happening to a squad mate and I suggested he turn off his Windows Firewall and so far he hasn't had an issue.

I just got a Quest 2 and my rig is very similar to yours. It works smooth as butter. The only thing I would say I need to tweek is I cant read the MFDs with out moving my head closer and my old neck and back have a hard time turning 180Deg to see whats going on behind me. I can kill anything AI with an F18 with my normal screen, I have yet to get guns on a bad guy with VR!!! Granted I only have used this thing for 2 days but its a new learning curve to climb.

For me a real challenge is to go 1v1 with a F-5 on ACE skill level. At this point I almost never beat him. I go back and watch what the AI does on TAC-VIEW and the AI manages energy like ..... well an AI! AI sucks at maneuvering low though

You might look at your windows firewall. It could be blocking things and it will change with every windows update.

I also use the AOA indexer there is a little "T" at the 3 o'clock position on the gauge if you keep your AOA at or below that line you should not bleed much or any energy. Also if the aircraft is buffeting, you are pulling too hard.

Do you know what a Beta is? The alternative is we have nothing and wait for years. Its a trade off. No one forced you to buy the beta version of these aircraft.

yeah I have a test mission. Nevada, same everything save the planes. The other odd thing is its not consistent. Some times it runs smooth as glass. Next launch, complete garbage. I am watching other running processes to see if there is some interference. The only thing that seems to make a difference is I am running Ikarus for the instrument displays. If I run this on a separate PC it does help but I think the F18 systems are a larger resource hog than other modules. I am still experimenting. I'll post any revelations. :)

I have been doing some testing to see why my game will runs poorly from time to time and it seems to be centered around the F18. If I start my PC and fly just about any aircraft I get good frame rates. As soon as I fly the F18 everything goes to hell and its the same for any other aircraft I fly after that. CPU will occasionally peg at 100% where it normally runs at about 65% Here is where it gets interesting, I shut down the game, then relaunch the game. Same behavior, all planes have horrible frame rates. Only after a full reboot do thing go back to normal. Or at least until I fire up the F18. Anyone else experience anything like this? For reference I am using an i5 8600k over clocked, m.2 drive, RTX 2070, 16 GB ram

I get a huge drop with F-18 as well and for me its not tied to the SA page. Its pretty much across the board :(

Ok thanks. Yeah I was wondering if this was DCS specific. I know BMS and just about every other game I have played it would go to center. To include the F15 in DCS I think. Oh well I am sure it will get fixed one day.

Hello all, I want to ask the serious F18 grognards out there if they know of a way to get the radar TDC to reset to the center of the radar screen when a target is undesignated. The behavior I noticed is that it always goes to the upper left corner of the screen when it resets.

I have the same problem. With the track clip pro.

Do either the F-18 or F-14 have a working jammer. I seem to recall that the F-18 still doesn't, maybe its a balance thing?

I agree and would add that this was as much a failure in training and the Ops Briefing as it was the pilots error. Anyone that has ever flown and been under stress can attest to the fact that clear thinking severely compromised.

Also I did notice both vlsm modes will not work in gun mode only in one of the missile modes. Is this correct?

I have a question? I can't seem to get the VSL modes to work once I switch to gun mode PLM works fine but neither of the VSM modes. I also have the ACM switch up which it seemed that jabbers did not. I am not sure if this matters but since these are ACM modes and it would seem silly if they didn't work with that switch up. What am I missing? Do I have to give Jester some specific command? NVR mind ; there are 2 different VSL radar commands and I was using the wrong one!

WOW !! This is what has been missing from DCS I love this mod!!! ED should really try to incorporate it into the game. Flew my first dynamic mission last night and it went off perfect. This really is awesome work thanks!!! Also you should set up a donations page I would contribute to this project!!

Has anyone got the gauges to export properly? I have tried using Helios to do this and I dont get any data.
