Question Lantirn "direct Head Control"

Hello,
I fly the F14 in VR with the HP Reverb G2.
When I select the direct head control function of the Lantirn, and then look down, I see two red dots and two red circles.
It is as if I hold my finger in front of my nose and look into the distance. Then two fingers also appear. I would have to squint for it to become one finger.
Thus it also with the two points and circles.
If I squint very hard, then it becomes a circle and a dot.

Does anyone have an explanation for this?

Known bug, the focus point is wrong (meaning the 3D distance of the red circle & dot) - should be at the VDI.
