I have several modules from DCS but never a Open Beta module. Where is the how to? I assume you download the DCS World Open Beta, then the AH-64D Open Beta, but why am I having to assume this? Why are there not specific instructions? Some are saying back up the old stable  or Just add the Open Beta. Why is this "Guess the Answer" game?

You dont have to assume, you can just read the FAQ:

"2a) all new modules always start from the DCS World OpenBeta and will appear in the DCS World stable version only after the patch!"

Well, I was in the same boat.  I've never stepped a rudder pedal on the open beta until yesterday.  I found all I needed to install/play it within 10 minutes of browsing these forums.  I never backed anything up, just installed it in my Eagle Dynamics folder.  I checked the sync my modules box when prompted by the installer and it installed all the modules I've bought, Including the Apache.
