muamshai Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 which multicore application I should use with DCS: BS to distribute load on all processors? There was a discussion about such app but I can't seem to find it. Ty in advance :) This space is available for your advertisement
Kuky Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 You don't need any. When you start the game, ALT-TAB to desktop, open Windows Task Manager and right clock on DCS.exe and set CPU affinity there. You need to do this every time you start the game though. If you have Windows Vista 64bit OS then this is definitely worth it but in Windows XP it makes no noticeable difference in game performance, but then again you can always try it and see if it helps yourself. Bucic Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Few such apps are mentioned at the end of "Multicore performance improvement" (?) thread. I recomend Set Affinity II. http://www.geocities.com/edgemeal_software/SetAffinity/index.htm It is always best to dl such a vital apps from their OFFICIAL sites. F-5E simpit cockpit dimensions and flight controls Kill the Bloom - shader glow mod Poor audio Doppler effect in DCS [bug] Trees - huge performance hit especially up close
