Hi there!

I'm learning the Hornet right now, and it's really some serious fun! 😉👍🏻 I've flown all the in game tutorials successfully. The last two, concerning the JDAM/ JSOW, using the TGP in PP and TOO mode, leave me a bit puzzled though. First, I designate a waypoint as target, which slews the TGP automatically to the corresponding coordinates. Now, I want to slew the pod manually, for seeking a parked aircraft. That doesn't work. I have a diamond, filled with the waypoint number. I've found out, that hitting SCS once more in the direction of the already selected DDI, changes the mode and makes slewing via TDC possible again. But designating the new target by pushing TDC depress doesn't work. What am I doing wrong here?

Thx a lot in advance for any help and input! 🙏🏻😃

I'm still learning here but I believe once you have slewen the tgp over your target you toggle the SCS switch again either once or twice depending on what kind of lock you need for the pod

Mik75,

Here is what I do. I will have my stores page open to the JDAM or JSOW. Page sure each station is on Too mode, as it will revert to PP mode depending on what you touch. There is an option to see the coordinates that the weapon is headed to in too or pp mode. (Msm? I'm still not fully caffinated)

Make your Tpod soi and scs left to cycle through modes (point track, area track, etc) once you find a target, TDC depress to designate it. Your mission coordinates should pop up with the coordinates which you can compare against what you tpod is looking at. (Make sure weapon is in too mode)

Now, all that being said, it's hard to know what the exact problem is on a forum post. We welcome anyone and everyone at my squadron, and we all try and pass on the stuff we've learned. You are welcome to come by the discord and ask anyone you find for help with this. You can screen share or stream and someone can see exact what the problem might be. We've got a number of very knowledgeable Hornet drivers in the squadron who will have you sorted out in short order.

Oh and we do squadron multi-player, and have some cool perks. (Discount codes from some manufacturers and such). Anyway, everyone is welcome, here's the link. Ask anyone there for help and you'll be taken care of.
