Dscross Posted March 26, 2022 Posted March 26, 2022 I'd like to request that the commands for controlling the search light be available as axis commands. Additionally, it would be aweful handy if I could bind "search light on off toggle" I got my virpil Alpha, and while I understand it is, at least in theory possible to map my analog stick on my alpha to a button, i'd rather not, and as a new user of Virpil software, I'm not exactly enjoying the software side of the experience. using "basic" control mode in the VPC software, it isn't possible to bind the mini analog stick as a button. (I'm sure I'll get it, but it's taking lots of time.) Yes, I know this is user error, as I'm sure 43 people will point out. Don't care, I would like the searchlight as an axis binding. It just adds more options on where you can put it on a varity of sticks, including the alpha, the VKB gladiator (EVO now?) I also know that 43 people will tell me that binding the searchlight is pointless, and I'll never use it. Okay, I like using the searchlight on helo's for night operations, take off from ships in low light, and all sorts of stuff. I like using my searchlights, and it's my Apache. Now that we got all the future "user error" comments out of the way, thank you, and I hope ED will consider putting the search light controls on a binding and adding a toggle on/off
Scaley Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 I'd definitely second this. Both axis and button would be useful. The missing toggle for on/off is also especially annoying. I get the impression quite a lot of control binds that are present in the more mature modules are missing (like all the joystick special one for toggle switches) so I think it's a safe bet that these will come eventually. 476th vFighter Group Main Page -- YouTube -- Discord Scaley AV YouTube - More videos from the 476th
MAXsenna Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 Why would you want it as an axis? What would you do when you centre the control? On the other hand. If the logic was so the lights didn't centre or go back to default position, (like "trimming"), then it could actually be useful Cheers!
