Denwagg Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 What purpose does the nose location diamond server in the center of the IHADSS. Can it be turned off. Its clutters up HUD when using fixed mode to fire rockets and guns
ED Team Raptor9 Posted March 27, 2022 ED Team Posted March 27, 2022 It's called the Head Tracker and represents the nose of the aircraft. It can't be removed. Having said that, it is displayed too high in elevation than where it should. 1 Afterburners are for wussies...hang around the battlefield and dodge tracers like a man. DCS Rotor-Head
Denwagg Posted March 27, 2022 Author Posted March 27, 2022 If it was any lower it would block the fixed sight location

Denwagg Posted March 27, 2022 Author Posted March 27, 2022 (edited) This is what I mean about blocking the fixed sight Its not really blocking it but it does move some from this location. Acq point is also in the HMD set to wp1 Edited March 27, 2022 by Denwagg

So in reality, the Head Tracker will probably still block the Fixed Gun sight, but it will be on the bottom half instead of the top half. That's how it is in real life though.
