What purpose does the nose location diamond server in the center of the IHADSS. Can it be turned off. Its clutters up HUD when using fixed mode to fire rockets and guns

It's called the Head Tracker and represents the nose of the aircraft. It can't be removed.

Having said that, it is displayed too high in elevation than where it should.

This is what I mean about blocking the fixed sight

Its not really blocking it but it does move some from this location. Acq point is also in the HMD set to wp1

Well I don't think it will help any in this particular case, but the Head Tracker should be on the horizon when the aircraft is on the ground (assuming the ground is perfectly level of course). So in reality, the Head Tracker will probably still block the Fixed Gun sight, but it will be on the bottom half instead of the top half.  That's how it is in real life though.
