johnjar Posted April 2, 2022 Posted April 2, 2022 (edited) This problem is with both the pilot and the CP/G keyboard settings. I can save a file and it appears to have saved. Then when I try to load it the file name is not there. It says "The file can not be found". Then if I exit the simulator and check the folder for the file it is really not there. So it was never saved. I am running the simulator as an Administrator. I have done a complete slow repair of all files. Did not help. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the AH-64D module. Did not help. What should I do now? Thank You for your help ! Edited April 2, 2022 by johnjar
Iceviper Posted April 3, 2022 Posted April 3, 2022 The save option seems to be doubling up on the file extention .diff.lua so it reads .diff.lua.diff.lua even if you click on a previously saved file. It wasn't asking if I'd like to overwrite the file but instead saving a new file with the double extention. Try renaming the file where you've saved it. Not sure if that will definitely work as I didn't risk loading binds back in and having to start again, but worth a try.
GremlinIV Posted April 3, 2022 Posted April 3, 2022 I dont save as profile anymore just got time consuming. But yes it is doubling up the extension. Simply set your bind, and OK out of adjust controls and it will autosave settings to the default LUA under the controls folder for the AH64 If you then want real real cover make a backup of whichever default.lua or the whole folder somewhere so you can paste it back in if you make an irreversible boo boo
