I experienced the best moment I have yet had in DCS.

Trying not to spoil too much.

Mission 6, already tremendously good, primary mission complete and egressing.  Target of opportunity, managed to get bombs on target but lost my entire right elevator and shut down right engine (which I now know how to do from earlier mission!) to 30mm BMP fire.

Radio check-in takes account of my planes condition!  The attention to detail in these missions is second to none, absolutely incredible.

Queue a tense limp home and what can only be described as a 'successful' crash landing.  Mission complete, at the cost of a wrecked F18 but I walked away.

Now just a few missions from the end and loving every minute of it.

I would agree that it's not for everyone, it does need a good level of F18 experience but for me its perfection.

Thank you for the feedback, this kind of feedback makes the hard work worth it!  Yep lots of detail here, really important to me that the world reacts to you and your performance.  Mission 6 one of my favs, so much fun to be had on that dive down to the deck and low level ingress.

Hope you keep having fun!
