Randomic freezing and CTD

Dear all,

I hope this is the correct session about the problem in DCS since some weeks, describe below.

I use DCS open beta and usually I flew the HB F-14A with all scenario and the sim works at 70/80 FPS stable.

In this last week I have some freeze during the flight and checking the FPS in that moment they're at 4/5 FPS for a second only that back to the usually 70/80 FPS. The problem occur both in single player and in the multiplayer session with all modules installed.

Another problem occurred, but fortunately is often, is CTD from mission editor when I working on the mission creration expeccially during selection of the dynamics object and in the 3D preview for the loadout selection or livery, both for the aircraft/rotorcraft obj, ground and sea objects.

I make a search, in this forum and on the web, about this problem or similar in order to check if the above problems it had been already discussed, but I couldn't find any feedback. 

Below you can find my PC specifics if can help to fix my problem 

Windows 10Pro v. 21H2 build 19044.1586, i7 6700K, MSI RTX2070S, 32Gb RAM, Motherboard ASUS Z170 progaming, SSD Samsung  Evo 860 1TB

 

Before to excute DCS as admin, I always clean the folders fxo, metashaders, multiplayer and in terrains the misc/metacache/base and misc/shadercache for each map installed. I already done a slow repairs also.

Hi, you seem to have issues with devices disconnecting/reconnecting. This maye be the reason for your random freezes.

I see many devices affected. You must be using a USB hub, right?

Hi Flappie,

I don't have any USB Hub.

The USB port are used for the Hotas, Track IR and External HDD for the archive.

How I can identify the devices affected of this continues connections and disconnections?

You can google the serial after the "#". It sometimes work. For instance, I'm pretty sure you have a HP ENVY 5540 printer here:

VID_03F0&PID_CE11&MI_00

 

It seems it essentially comes from your printer, which is odd. Try to turn it off and play.

yes I have the HP ENVY 5540 but why it make interference with DCS? 

I didn't know about printer work with DCS.

I try do uninstall the printer and made some test to check if the problem could be fix.

Actually, I think the issue comes from your printer saying "hello" and "goodbye" several times per hour, coupled with the game USB hotplug detection. You should be able to sort this out by disabling hotplug detection in DCS controls options, or by simply turning off yoru printer while you're playing.

(And sorry I've also posted this on another thread - but I'm lost for solutions here).

Mine tends to freeze between 30-60 mins (usually when returning to carrier).

I now have a mission file (Generated from Liberation) where I can consistently replicate this (with the F-14, both A and B).

Its a runway Launch from Super Carrier, I sit on the carrier till 32 mins into mission (speed up time to 32 mins), then launch, then gear up, then press F3 (fly past view).  Instantly freezes requiring End Task.

But it works fine when flying the F18 !!

 i7-10700, GTX3070, 64GB RAM

Tried Reinstall. and all the tips and tricks I could find on here.  

Anyone any suggestions?

+1 unable to complete a long mission with the tomcat from a few days, freezes requiring End Task grrrrrrrrrr. I"ll try the same mission with the F18.
