Does the LMC influence how the hellfire moves?

is the LMC just a way to move the TADS, or does using it somehow influence how the missile moves? If I can be perfectly steady on a moving target without LMC, is there any difference if I would use it or not?

I don’t see why there would be a diff since both actions (manual and LMC) do the sa,e thing, ie. turn the tads to keep the laser on target.
