  1. Hey, I want to build a web-map for my mission and wondered if someone has highres georeferenced image of the f10 map to be used in mapbox etc. ? Or are there any tool to create it on my own? Using openstreetmap is kinda <profanity>ty cause it looks way different.
  2. k-50 is different from most helos because it has a koaxcial rotor so you don't need to use rudder if you increase or decrease collective also the KA-50 has a ton of flight assist features that make it so easy that a child could fly it. Apache as it is currently has none of those which makes it mich hardwr to control. But you can get good with enough practice you just have to learn how much rudder you have to press when increasing or decreasing collective and so on. It also depends on your speed.
  3. yes definetly its on the list.
  4. I see. So I guess its just bugged atm because it sometimes show a wrong number by 7sec for a static LOBL shot. Also why does it sometimes not show any TOF at all?
  5. I don't get why my bursts land infront or behind the target even tho I use the laser to mesure the range. Can't the gun compensate for the movement of the helicopter like the KA-50 can? If you are in hover its fine but if in motion you can't hit a forest.
  6. Hi, is the LMC just a way to move the TADS, or does using it somehow influence how the missile moves? If I can be perfectly steady on a moving target without LMC, is there any difference if I would use it or not?
  7. Is the time of flight somehow bugged or just inaccurate? In 80% it is correct, but sometimes it shows still 10 seconds on impact and I don't get why. I could understand that the time is takes from launch and where the laser was pointing at that time, but even if you point the same spot the whole flight, it sometimes shows wrong numbers. I also had cases where it would run out and a few seconds later the missile would hit.
  8. Both vehicles were driving several kilometres from the same spawn point. Why is one pitch black and the other one white?
  9. Not implemented yet. The LMC is supposed to be used for moving targets. You give it a drift so that it moves at the same speed and direction as your target, and then fire. It is not a lock on mechanic, its purpose is just not being forced to hold the tads stick all the time. It's horrible hard to control, I agree, even the slightest movement will bring you off target.
  10. Shooting moving targets with the hellfire seems almost impossible because of a huge desync between pilot and CPG. As you can see in the images, the point of impact is always different. The only way to kinda hit a moving target is to predict where it will be at the point of impact and shoot at this point and wait for it. Hitting non-moving targets works fine most of the time, I would say 9 /10. As track files are way too large for this forum, we uploaded them to g drive: CPG trck: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WuxL17XweEIcIDf5VhitdZOrq4XMjmBl/view?usp=sharing Pilot trck: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yU-P8kdO9VPr3JC1pbKx5lJqy51nN4EX/view?usp=sharing 4 different examples: click to zoom:
  11. The TEDAC has no background, which you notice when you try to export it: Also, the image of the actual TEDAC is doubled when the exporting function is used.
  12. I tried it with moving targets, and at least for me, it's 1000% easier to track moving targets without it. I use it for steady targets so that I don't have to compensate for the helicopter moments of my self too much.
  13. Hi, If you activate LMC and move the TADS, it will continue to move in that direction. This is fine for moving targets, but bad for still targets. Is there some way to deactivate the "drifting" part of the LMC and only leave the stable one so that it does not keep moving when you correct the position? Problem is that if the pilot does some correction the sight wanders off even with LMC, so you have to deactivate LMC, aim, activate each time you want to correct. If you try correcting while it is on, it will start moving "drifting", and it's super hard to make it stop again.
  14. Hi, I saw people build their own cockpits and somehow show the MFDs on a second screen. How can I do this with the TEDAC? Is there some tutorial for this?
  15. This is how I have done it. I'm in tads as CPG and when my Pilot wants to show me something, I just press a button, and it slaves to his view point. If I want to find something I see from the cockpit quickly, I use the same macro just with the GHS acquisition to move my tads where I'm looking. This can also be used to fire the gun with laser rangefinder from the CPGs helmet, so it's quite nice if you need to react fast. I don't get why they haven't thought about that option. The AH-64D is full of tech, but utilizing it is super slow and difficult.
  16. You use your head to move the crosshair on the target and keep it there. (This is the point where you want your rockets to go.) You move the vertical line with the helicopter, not with your head. It takes a bit of time to get used to it. You don't have to be 100% in line to hit properly, tho.
  17. I'd also like to have manual trim, so you can move the trim with some 4way head.
  18. Thanks, tested it out and it works! Now I can see the symbology in the HUD when I slew to a target on my TADS, which is see with through my HMD.
  19. Hi, if I select TADS, it displays the video from the TADS also in my HUD. How can I turn off only the video in my HUD but keep the other HUD elements and at the same time keep the TV screen on?
