Eagleflieger Posted April 10, 2022 Posted April 10, 2022 Hello, first of all I totaly love the operation cerberus north mission once you understand the Channel logic and you briefed your self well it makes great fun totaly love the british accent and the dialoges with the Marine Pilots, but I have gotten the problem now in Mission 5 that I wanted to recover the A10 Pilot and flew the 2 show of forces and then the trrops wanted to get the A10 and then I had to fly a third show of force and I got hit hy manpads, so I decied I could not stay any loger above the area and did RTB the problem was, that after setinel I did not get the Inctrution to change the chanell so I chanched manually to approach and they inctructed me to proced to FL150 and then did not get any new instructions to decent to 3000ft and contact tower and so on ? What could had course the error or is it a Bug

The ATC triggers all stack, so if you miss one you might not get the next. If you missed arrival, you won't get the descent to Falcon, contact tower etc. That's the most likely reason, but I'll double check in case the RTB for damage option messed something up.
ClydeBigBird Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Just played this mission and also felt like something was missing from ATC on arrival. I contacted arrival at WP7 and was told to descend to FL150, but didn't get any other communication after that until I contacted tower. Didn't get any messages about Falcon or the 302 corridor.

Did you switch to Arrival (COMM 2 ch 5) and press enter on the UFC? If not that'll be why, if you did I'll double check the mission.

Pretty sure yeah, cause I think the option to contact arrival at WP7 didn't appear until switching COMM 2 ch 5 and pressing enter on UFC.
ClydeBigBird Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 @ChillNG I should also note that when I was at the optional objective in M5 I ordered my wingman to attack, but very soon after I got the message from Sentinel that we were being relieved. This seemed to cause him to not egress with me (maybe I was supposed to order him to break off?). Dunno if this could have had some bearing on ATC weirdness towards the end of the mission.

Ah ok, thinking about it you must have missed the approach comms, on Ch4 when 75 miles out. The corridor will be specified then.

Thanks for the report, you found a new bug. Turns out if you don't order it yourself then he won't disengage automatically in the situation you describe, and at that point the option to disengage has been removed. Fixed for the next update. 1

After those messages finished I didn't see an option to contact approach on Ch4. I was going too fast though, probably closer to mach 0.85 instead of the 0.75 specified by the FP, so that's probably the real cause. Will keep in mind that it's important to stay close to the FP specified speed in the future. 1

Yeah, I mean that I didn't see an option in the COMM menu to contact approach (probably because I was already past the point where I should have done it when I started looking).
