ronht Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 The GUI documentation states the following: AFAC. The Airborne Forward Air Controller (AFAC) Task will set the assigned aircraft to mark assigned targets with smoke rockets or illumination flares. For night missions, this can be a useful Task to assign an airplane to support a player flying the Ka-50. Any idea how to make this work? thanks ron
Acedy Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Select "add aircraft" and then the AFAC task. In the aircraft selection dropdown menu you can now select the planes which can perform the task. Some of them (Su-17/24/25/27/34) can carry the SAB-100 "bomb", which is a container that carries multiple illumination flares. Set up an ordinary bombing run, for example with "point" as target type. Note the higher the plane's altitude the greater the illumination radius and time, although the brightness will be lower initially and I'm not sure right now after what time the flares burn off.
