Nealius Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 (edited) Point of confusion easily demonstrated with the Hornet. But first, let's define "format" and "style" to prevent confusion over semantics. "Format" refers to the GPS format, e.g. DDMMSS. "Style" refers to how it is written, e.g. degree symbol, apostrophe, quotation marks, etc. What I am referring to in my wishlist item is the style of the GPS formats as they appear in-cockpit versus as they appear on the F10 map. The Hornet precise system is displayed in the cockpit as 00° 00.0000. The corresponding coordinates in the F10 map are displayed as 00-00-00.00. Note that the degree mark is missing, there are hyphens that shouldn't exist, and the decimal is in the "wrong" place. Now compound the confusion by adding an F10 map format that is displayed as 00° 00.000. Note how it appears nearly identical to the Hornet's in-cockpit display, with the only difference being three digits after the decimal instead of four. The styling should be displayed exactly the same as they are in the cockpit. Ergo, 00-00-00.00 in the F10 map should be 00° 00.0000 just as it appears in the Hornet's DDIs.
