99th_Snake Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 I recenty bought a HP Reverb G2 headset and gave my OQ2 to my son. I read that the resolution was better in the Reverb. Now when DCS World starts I cannot select anything on the home screen with either my mouse or the hand controllers of the Reverb. The screen is also much larger that the space it is in and you cannot see the entire page. When I used the OQ2 I had no prblem at all using both the controllers and the mouse to select items on the home page of the game. Can anyone help me with the setup of the HP Reverb I am totally lost with this thing.
Sirbum Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 sounds like you need to bind the VR recenter key, and recenter your VR while in DCS. also make sure that you dont have some strange IPD setting going on on the VR tab of DCS. I keep mine at like 63. in DCS the IPD setting will either make the cockpit look really large or really small depending on what its set too. as for the controller, also check to see that you have controllers clicked on in the VR tab I think it is. I do find though that with my G2 if i am useing the controller then my mouse wont work. I have to let it go to sleep first. Also with the controller make sure you are holding the trigger down to make the line show up to click on things. Its not on all the time.
99th_Snake Posted April 30, 2022 Author Posted April 30, 2022 How do I bind the VR recenter key, and recenter the VR??

On Alt-Tab (DCS out of focus) just press Win to popup Menu Start in VR - it recenters the cursor in your field of view. When u close it mouse stay in same position and its unfreezed. Also binding VR Recenter in General/UI Layer (cant remember in which one), instead of /per module, is important cause u can recenter googles after game launch immidietly. DeltaMike Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 Make sure you disable automatic context switching in WMR. You want the setting that makes you manually have to press win+Y to change the mouse from desktop to VR. Note, sometimes you have to win+y to wake the headset up Ryzen 5600X (stock), GBX570, 32Gb RAM, AMD 6900XT (reference), G2, WInwing Orion HOTAS, T-flight rudder
99th_Snake Posted May 1, 2022 Author Posted May 1, 2022 I tried it all but no go. The UI Layer centered the view but still no mouse. I also notice that when DCS starts my mouse will be at the very to of my monitor. It is as if DCS is running in a window at the top of the screen outside where the mouse can reach it.
TylerPL666 Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 Just press this combination in DCS menu: 1. ALT+TAB 2. Win 3. Move mouse 4. Win 5. 99th_Snake Posted May 3, 2022 Author Posted May 3, 2022 (edited) Good evening guys. I solved the problem. The problem was that my computer was configured for 4 screens instead of just one. When the game started in VR it sent the projection into one of the 4 screens leaving the goggles unable to interact with the game home screen. I had to go into "Displays" and the "Multiple Displays" in my Computer Setting and merge screens. I merged 1 & 2. When I started the game the mouse and hand controllers worked fine. Problem solve. Thanks for all your inputs guys, I appreciate you taking the time to help. Edited May 3, 2022 by 99th_Snake
