joojoo Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 Hey to all, Any change to ACLS approach prodedure? I tried both Forrestal and Lincoln but my acls never engaged. I also noticed that I don't take the light information in order to engage ACLS, any idea? Thanx
near_blind Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 Link 4 tuned, gear down, flaps full, dlc engaged, auto pilot set?
joojoo Posted June 3, 2022 Author Posted June 3, 2022 hmm link 4 via Jester right? could u remember me about dlc?
near_blind Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 link 4 via Jester yes. DLC is Dynamic Lift Control. With your gear and flaps down you press the button on your stick that usually drops a flare, and that will engage DLC. DLC must be engaged for ACLS to capture.
joojoo Posted June 3, 2022 Author Posted June 3, 2022 ook since I have to fly the bird a few months I think that DLC is mandatory for ACLS after a recent update right?
near_blind Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 I don't use ACLS, I don't know how long ago it was necessary, but I know the NATOPs is pretty clear that it needs to be engaged for ACLS to work.

Actually, it being a hard pre-requisite is currently slightly wrong. It is SOP for it to be engaged, but not really required for the RL ACLS. We will change this in the next patch - or maybe not, because with the limitations of DCS, it is possible that we need to keep it to help the ACLS a bit. Either way, it should be on 100%, so whether we keep it or not, everyone should make it best practice to engage DLC on any recovery anyways. 3 Heatblur Simulations Please feel free to contact me anytime, either via PM here, on the forums, or via email through the contact form on our homepage. http://www.heatblur.com/ https://www.facebook.com/heatblur/
