you have to zoom in to see runway lighting

Hi I have seen several people mentioned this problem but not really seeing a topic reated focusing on this problem.

For me, both in VR or screen, I have to zoom in to see the runway/ carrier lighting if I am from about 15+ miles, and if you zoom in or fly closer,

suddenly you will be able to see the light like there was no light before you crossing a line. Has anyone experienced it? Is ED ever going to fix it?
