Filter or favorites list for units

As DCS continues to grow with more and more types of aircraft, naval, static and ground units. These lists are getting huge and finding what I’m looking for is harder and harder. It would be great to have some sort of filter or favorites option for the units that I use the most or conversely hide units I don’t need to see as they won’t be used in my mission

While you wait for your wish to be implemented, you could create a Static Template for each of your Map, with each Template having one unit of each type that you use often. Then, when you edit a new mission (or revisit an old one), you can Load the Static Template and instead of placing new units by taking them from ED's palettes, create a copy of the appropiate unit from your template. This approach also has the advantage that your template can already have your favorite skin, and flyable aircrafts can have the radio presets edited as you want.
