RafaPolit Posted June 20, 2022 Posted June 20, 2022 As a regular user, I think that the campaign section of the website is really lacking. As more groups and people develop campaigns and the pool of options becomes available, there NEEDS to be a way to filter the campaign based on the modules they are built upon! "I am looking for an F-18 campaign... oh, nice, but this one requires the Super Carrier". On page: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/campaigns/ ... I fail to see how is it more important to have a filter named "Type", for which EVERY SINGLE ITEM has type campaign, yet I cannot filter by "Built for module X". draconus Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 It might not be intuitive but look for "Related" section under module page, like this: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/hornet/ Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria
RafaPolit Posted June 21, 2022 Author Posted June 21, 2022 Thanks. I know about those, but they are limited to 5. So, as mentioned, once campaigns start growing in number, this becomes the "wrong" place to look for them. I mean, you can still search for them, it's just that it is not a great experience. MAXsenna Posted July 25, 2022 Posted July 25, 2022 Excellent idea! I'm sure this will be implemented in the future, as the numbers grow.Cheers! Sent from my MAR-LX1A using Tapatalk
RafaPolit Posted March 17, 2023 Author Posted March 17, 2023 I'm bumping this up. With the current sale, I wanted to buy some campaigns for my new-ish A-10CII. It should be so obvious to me to go into campaigns and filter by: "Campaigns designed for the X-00", "Campaigns taking place in the Normandy map", "Campaigns that take advantage of the Supercarrier". It requires little else as you already have most of the metadata in place! It will also (I almost guarantee this) increase sales of the campaigns, as you won't be overwhelmed with dozens of campaigns you are not interested in or don't have the airframes just to find the one you want. RafaPolit Posted March 17, 2023 Author Posted March 17, 2023 (edited) Yes, but it only shows a few, it doesn't filter out the ones you already have, so the "related" could perfectly be all things you already own with no exposure for those you don't. I agree there are "ways around". Still, I honestly think this could probably be low hanging fruit that ED can incorporate into the web page without a lot crazy amount of effort.
