Rufuz64 Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 There are a lot of comparisons between VR and TrackIR (or other systems), but that is not the point here. The idea is to combine VR with a head tracker. I know that sounds a bit absurd at first. But the advantage would be that you wouldn't have to strain your neck to see the six. The parameters (speed, smooth?) would probably have to be adjusted. So the question is: would this be possible? I haven't found anything on that yet. I fly with a Reverb G2 and don't have a headtracker. Maybe someone here owns both systems and can test it? Supmua Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 Use necksafer instead, the link I listed is for the OpenXR version but there's OpenVR version also. You can set it so that VR tracking is 1:1 up until you turn your head past certain degree angle then it becomes accelerated. I have installed XrNeckSafer, it works. Unfortunately, I have the impression that it stutters a bit. I will test it further. Supmua Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 Try to set it so that it's 1:1 tracking until you turn your head past 80-90 degree. You only need accelerated turning when checking six so it should feel natural most of the time. 1 PC: 5800X3D/4090, 11700K/3090, 9900K/2080Ti.
