Dieselmadness Posted July 12, 2022 Posted July 12, 2022 Hey all, quick simple question…is there a way to make ai aircraft land at a specific time? I honestly have searched here as well as YouTube, I’m probably missing it but just figured I’d ask, I’d like to make ai aircraft land at say :1425 exactly..is this possible? Only way I have found is to start a mission with them in the air and set their fuel low and make them rtb on bingo fuel which is a crap shoot, they may fly around for a bit before they land. What am I missing?
Bunny Clark Posted July 14, 2022 Posted July 14, 2022 (edited) You can give them a landing waypoint, then set them to orbit some distance away. Make a trigger to change waypoints to the landing waypoint at a certain time. You can use the ETA field in the ME to approximate when they'll arrive for landing. I expect it won't be as accurate as landing exactly when you want to the minute, but it should be a lot more accurate than waiting for them to bingo back on their own. Dieselmadness Posted July 14, 2022 Author Posted July 14, 2022 Awsome! Thank you!! Only thing I need to know is, how exactly do I make the last waypoint trigger then to land lol? Only thing I’ve figured out is rtb on bingo but maybe I’m overlooking it, haven’t seen that command though.
Bunny Clark Posted July 14, 2022 Posted July 14, 2022 In the Waypoint Type drop-down menu, set it to "landing." 1 Oil In The Water Hornet Campaign. Bunny's: Form-Fillable Controller Layout PDFs | HOTAS Kneeboards | Checklist Kneeboards
