Unplayable Lag After Update

Hello everyone, I just updated my game to the DCS 2.7.16.27869 Open Beta (steam install) and have immediately noticed spectacularly long load times and terrible performance.

I am experiencing 10+ minute load times joining multiplayer servers or single player missions, and once in game I am hit with periodic lag spikes in which the game freezes completely for a few seconds.

I dug a little deeper and noticed that in my task manager and it appears all that both during loading and in game lag spikes, the active time drive on my D:\ drive (Hard Drive which task manager has labeled as D:\ S:\ for some reason???) and there is very little activity shown for my S:\ drive (My SSD). The spectacular thing is that my game is fully installed on to my S: drive, and I have no idea why it appears that my D:\ drive is under load during gameplay other than the hint that it's labeled D:\ S:\. I have closed all other tasks, so it's not other applications using my D:\ drive, it has to be DCS. And before anyone asks, yes my PC Specs are well above the minimum requirements and the game had been running just fine before the update.

Anyone have any help?

What is your system drive? Where are your page files located? Where are your Saved games\DCS located? Is there any symbolic link made between S and D?
