Hez Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 After start up and alignment of the gyros the heading tape displayed on the HUD shows correctly. However, as soon as you either select some weapon stations (e.g. M.D or M.G FUS) the heading tape will change from accurately updating to show bearing 360 degrees. And if you then select C+M/SW mode the bearing changes to 025, but is again fixed on this bearing and won't update or correctly show your heading. Once you disable any armament stations (turning off M.D and M.G FUS) and exit C+M/SW modes, the heading tape will then start working again. 1

But the HUD element is called "Distance/Heading Scale" there. I guess it changes to distance when you enable weapons.
Hez Posted July 22, 2022 Author Posted July 22, 2022 Ah, yes I see what you mean - I'll jump in now and see if there is a way to keep it on heading. Thanks! If found I'll return and remove this post
Hez Posted July 22, 2022 Author Posted July 22, 2022 Yeah I think you're right, once a weapon is selected it's showing distance or the canon distance setting, not your heading any more. Which seems a bit annoying, but probably working as intended.
Hez Posted July 22, 2022 Author Posted July 22, 2022 However, a bit of testing with the R530 EM, the distance never changes from zero. So I'm not sure if that's not working correctly at the moment? No ranging info once a target is locked via Lock-on or TEL mode before and after launch.

Its WIP i guess as there should be missile flight time if missiles selected where alt scale is or to closure with guns.
