I have a question about detent-finger lift.

I bought a system and monitor this month and i'm short of cash. I can barely afford this combo.

It seems like a good deal and I want to gab it while it's on sale and before they run out. I'm curious about the detent. I see it has the detent but being a throttle 2 it's setup to add the finger lift later. Does the thottle2 with finger lift also have the detents? I'll add the finger lift later and was wondering if the detent can be disabled or do they work together?

The Orion 2 does not have any detents. So if you buy it without the fingerlifts you will probably have a sub-prime experience.

also keep in mind, that there will be a significant pricetag on shipping and probably customs/taxes (depending on where you live).

so just in order to avoid to pay for shipping twice, I would recommend to wait until you can afford the throttle with the fingerlifts (and shipping/customs/taxes).

Not sure if I have to pay taxes. Shipping is $83, so it's still cheaper than a Warthog.

No detents is not good though. I'm surprised they sell it that way. Well, if  have to wait i'll get the Viper version.

It's all about choice. Some want detents, others don't! The Orion 1 came with detents, people complained so now V2 comes without....you just have to purchase the addon.

I'll have to wait until Aug 3rd for my next SS check to buy one with finger lifts or the Viper version. I'm worried the stock will be gone by then or the sale will run out.

Not sure what to do. My new system arrives Tues and I have no controller.

My Orion 2 came with the finger lifts. I did not have to purchase them separately. I absolutely love this Orion 2 stick throttle. I live in the US and there was no other fee other than the cost of the units and shipping.

Does the Orion2 come programmed at all like the Warthog, or do I start from scratch?. It will be for the Hornet.

The Warthog doesn't come programmed. DCS sees the Warthog and automatically assigns keypresses. Pretty sure DCS will do the same for the Orion. Remember that not all switches will be assigned, you will have to do some manual assignments.

What is the big deal about assigning some buttons? Takes maybe 15min to have it done for the most part…and then some finetuning when you realize, what you really need.

Let me reword it so you understand. Is the Orion programmed in DCS? I thought you'd know what I meant.

Mate I do understand. I answered your question. No device comes pre-programmed for DCS. DCS have profiles for certain devices but I'm unsure about the Orion. If not then program yourself!

What I want to buy is available right now. I can't buy it until my SS check hits my bank account around 10pm tonight. Hopefully, it will still be available at 10pm tonight. I'm normally not that lucky. Maybe this time will be different.
