We are unable to create real tail code/side letter combinations with the French squadron liveries. For example 1/30 squadron #260 should be 30-QB but in game it appears as QR. Attempting to add B or any othe letter results in QG. It appears numbers are hard-coded to an assigned letter:

0-R

1-S

2-T

3-U

4-V

5-Y

6-Z

7-B

8-F

9-G

In order to make 30-QB, the last letter in the sequence must be 7. However, only 3-digits are recognized. The leading 2 on the tail is fixed so only the second two digits are necesssary for the tail, leaving the last one for the nose letter. However this does not work either, as 607 becomes #206 rather than #260.

Because the last digit on the tail is shared with the digit that determins the nose letter, it is impossible to create historically accurate aircraft registration numbers.
