Laggy picture when steady head / rapid jet movement

Hi,

i recently got my new PC (specs in signature) and its running quite good fps in DCS. I got 60fps on the ground in the apache.

Problem is that i now got a laggy picture when there are rapid movements in the aircraft (roll for example). I might guess that this has something to do with the motion reprojection setting. I remember that there was a keystroke in dcs to adjust the 4 modes available but i cant recall.

Does anyone know it so i could test and see if its because of that? Thanks!

I think you're referring to the 4 possible Oculus ASW settings via keybind . Not applicable to Wmr headsets afaik .

Motion reprojection/smoothing settings are accessed in the WMR for SteamVR menu , which is brought up by a button on a VR headset controller .

Have you checked with fpsVR what is happening to both GPU and CPU frametime when you have those lags?  You might be close to the limit of your refreah rate.

I get this when too much is going on such as a multiplayer mission with a lot of scripts running.  It might be helpful to also check the detailed FPS info provided by DCS, this will help determine if the lag is caused by the mission or something else like specific options turned on.

Follow this path on whatever drive you have Steam installed on:

\Steam\steamapps\common\MixedRealityVRDriver\bin\win64\OpenVRSettingsUX.exe

When you run that, a little black window will come up on your desktop screen.  Click on the "Graphics" tab on the left, and that will show graphics settings for WMR, including the current Motion Reprojection status highlighted cyan.  Just make sure yours is set for either "Auto" or "Motion Vector"

It will stay set the way you set it until you go back in and change it.  No DCS keypresses to remember, and no need for the hand controllers.  :punk:

Hey,

i was indeed reffering to the oculus mode, i didnt knoew its only for oculus.

Thanks, i will try it with the tool and have a few tests.
Somewhat doubt  that i am at the limit to the refreshrate since its quite stable at 60fps when looking straight
