JPT Emergency Regulation switch

Hi all,

By any chance, does anyone knows what is the function of this switch?  ...  I have searched the Aerges manual, and also the Flight Manual of the real Mirage F1CZ, but can't find any explanation of what it does. I know that the Atar engine has an Emergency Regulator for its Fuel supply, but the JPT Regulation is not it.

I know it is probably not a huge issue, but my OCD truly wants to know the function of every switch and button on this cockpit 🙂

Thanks a lot for any help with this,

Eduardo

It bypasses the engine control module and sets the engine to a lower power manual mode- it’s meant to keep the engine operating in case of throttle or AB problems and get you back to base via use of air brakes and manuevering to control your speed

Are you sure? Isn't that the function of the Engine Emergency regulator?  I believe this JPT emergency regulator is related to the afterburner rather than the engine, but I dont have a source to backup my belief. Thanks for the input anyway 👍

As I understand it, the F1 has automatic JPT (I guess Jet Pipe Temperature? No Idea where the probe would be) regulation to ensure optimal performance. Switching the switch in the "Arret/Off" position turns off automatic regulation.
