I love the sharp image at 2560 and my rig pulls it fine.

What I don't like is that briefing maps are very small and tool tips on the switches are tiny too.

Anyone know if there is somewhere in a config file where I might tweak the briefings and tools tips to display bigger?

Another 2560x request. At this resolution it's possible to pull the zoom all the way back inside the cockpit and still read all the tiny writing.

However, the game LOD drops detail when pulled back that far and ruins the image :( Anyway to force a high detail LOD inside the cockpit?

I am running at 1920*1200 4FSAA 16AIF, most of the time fully zoomed out! The gauges are crystal clear and the HUD ist legible enough. Especially the gauges at 1920*1200 are much, much more clear than at 1280*1024, what I ran before. At 1280 it seemed like the gauges must have been shrinked or reduced from their original full res (1024) a few % and that brought some kind of "interpolation artefacts" into them. At 2560 there might be the opposite effect and you have extrapolation issues.

The tool tips at 1920 are fine. The briefing maps are small here too.

Just my two cents...

I'm also running a 1900x1200 monitor and reading everything seems fine to me (I need a new GPU though!). This serves you right for having such an enviable hardware setup in my opinion, so you're getting no help from me!

Haha joking aside, do DPI settings (Win Ctrl Panel) make any difference to text size? I know it's a long shot. Good luck!

A quick test in my laptop with a GeForce 8600M GS yields the following results with settings of Anisotropic Filtering OFF then set to 16x, respectively. Notice how the gauges with anisotropic filtering turned off get a lot more blurry. Specifically, this is happening in my case (depends on zoom and point-of-view position) with the Radar Altimeter, Airspeed, HSI, G meter, ADI, and EGT. Notice also how it makes no difference on the labels of the Weapons Panel, Rotor RPM, Altimeter, Engine RPM, and Standby ADI.

I think the fact that some gauges change and others don't mind confuse people as to what they are getting with tweaking their settings.

Anyways, just figured this would be additional info for people playing with their settings, as a comparison. Make sure you click on the imageshack title bar to see the pics in full resolution.

Excellent, someone posted a screenshot of the exact effect I was seeing. Even with 16x AF and forced high quality textures, 'fuzzyness' still creeps into some of the instruments when fully zoomed out :(

Although in fairness, it is pretty minor.

The problem, from pilot's POV is that the breifing map is so small sometimes you cannot but guess at some of the TP's and surrounding terrrain.

This is not so realistic, because you know a real Ka-50 pilot would pour over sat pics and study terrain close before flight.

Since the cockpit is now in english the toop tips are less a big deal.
