pmaura Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 My thrustmaster throttle sticks, aparently I should loosen a screw inside and apply some grease. Heres the real question, anyreason I cant use wd40 or can you only apply a specific grease.
nikita_nomad Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 I used Nyogel 767A. Works really good. Mine was sticking all the time, after applying this, super smooth, better then ever. Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk
Hector45 Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 WD40 is a great rust preventative but not a great lubricant. The best way to do it is take it apart, line the plastic half moon channels with packaging tape, then lubricate with lithium grease on both the metal rails and the packaging tape lined half moon channel mounts. I did mine like that and they have been perfect for over 2 years of heavy use. I get absolutely no binding/sticking when trying to move the throttle from the very top as it would when stock. pmaura Posted July 27, 2022 Author Posted July 27, 2022 thanks guys, didnt realize that about wd40, just getting grease or lubricant is not really easy, takes about a month, I am not somewhere amazon friendly. can probaly get motor grease
72Stu Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 You can get a small tube of lithium grease from a cycle shop, that will do nicely. 1
