  1. It should be an interesting year with the Somnium VR1 seeing big improvements and close to launch too.
  2. PICO 4 vs PICO 4 Enterprise: A Comprehensive Comparison Guide (picoxr.com)
  3. Yes, staying on the 23H2 release will work (current one). Microsoft won't force the 24H2 upon us for a couple of years yet.
  4. Just as an aside, Windows aren't about to brick your G2, well, not until 2026 anyway.
  5. As others have said, there is no rush, just stay on Windows 23H2. MS won't force to 24H2 until 2026 so you can see how the Somnium VR1, Valve Deckard etc work out before upgrading.
  6. I was in VR on Google Earth and having a look around my old hometown of Carlisle in the UK. There is an aviation museum at the old airport and street view took me inside the Vulcan bomber XJ823, and their Percival Sea Prince, great stuff. Is this the norm for GE and where are some other nice cockpit 'Street views'?
  7. This was the preview Somnium so lots will change before release. I must admit to being slightly disappointed, but a while to go yet.
  8. Looks like e1799 to e1899 for the base model. TBC early next year
  9. According to Somniums X feed, SadlyItsBradley, VRFlightsimguy and VoodooDE are getting a preview headset this month. Hopefully, it meets the specs and should be a game changer.
  10. I use a 55" tv and it is fantastic for PC gaming. It runs at 60Hz so I won't be playing competitive FPS shooters on it, but for simming and general gaming, it's great.
  11. 2 people asked how I came to my 'broad sweeping statement'. I answered the first, then merely explained to the second that I had already answered the question. No defensive stuff at all. It IS ok to have differing opinions...no?
  12. I'm personally waiting for the Somnium to drop before moving away from my G2. I love the look of the Bigscreen Beyond but need base stations in the mix. Valve is supposed to be revealing their new offering soon too.
  13. Already explained YoYo. And you know what, it's OK to have a different opinion on topics.
  14. I have a friend who owned a Pro and moved to a Q3, his report has the Q3 as being the better headset all round. I also had a quick google to see if youtube simmers agreed, and yes, they do. The Q3 is better than the Pro.
  15. As above, 128 will do for PCVR. A no brainer if it is free also
  16. It isn't a good headset, there are better options, even the Q3 is better.
  17. We also have the Somnium VR1 coming out 'soon'. The specs look fantastic but pricing may be steep, no announcement there yet.
  18. Unsure if this helps, but VR Flight Sim Guy on Youtube has quite a number of Crystal / DCS videos. Also, the tracked foveated rendering looks to be a game changer also -
  19. I watch Gamers Nexus for good, honest reviews (and maybe Hardware Unboxed if two or more cards are close). I'd also recommend VR Flight Sim Guy, as he is actually using the cards in VR, exactly the content you're after. (I just wish he'd drop the 'surprised Pikachu face' thumbnails)
  20. A legit company by the looks of it, I'd go for them if you are buying.
  21. Isn't that a big drain on the card though? You need all the vRAM you can muster to render a scene in 2 VR screens, why stress it with rendering to a TV too? Or maybe I misunderstand.
  22. Hello All, Many apologies, I'm owning that post (one too many gins I think). Of course, DDR5 works just as well with W10 as W11. I think I meant Intel 12th gen works better with W11, as you all know. Sorry for the confusion! Hic
  23. You'll want to have Windows 11 if using DDR5 RAM too btw.
  24. You'll have no problem fitting the Hero mobo in that case. As for CPU cooling, you can fit a 360 rad without any issues too, so go for an Arctic Liquid Freezer 2 360. Most modern cases are great for cable management, be wary of putting too tight a bend on your chosen graphics card power supply input, however.
  25. In defense of NVMe sticks, the access is very much mobo dependent. I have a Mini ITX and can access both front and rear sticks in seconds. The front stick is a 500GB NVMe with Windows 11 only, and the rear is the 1TB games/everything else drive. Research the plethora of options of course. The same goes for sticks themselves, read reviews.
