TEMPEST.114 Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 My friend and I just jumped into two F14B’s. We were high and fast and both noticed our wing sweep gage said EMER OVER and we no longer had manual control of the wings. The sweep lever was down and covered and no lights on the CAP. is this a new thing? If so, where is it explained as there’s nothing in the patch notes. the wings stayed there until under 300kts when they would allow me to set MAN and then manually set AUTO and they went forward. This was on the run and break. This isn’t the same behaviour as prior to the patch.
TEMPEST.114 Posted July 28, 2022 Author Posted July 28, 2022 Thank you. Sorry I couldn’t find the bug report.

Apart from the wrong lights it is correct. You can't move the wings forward when you already have them at 68° in flight, set by CADC, without using the emergency wing sweep lever. Quote In normal operation the CADC, Central Air Data Computer, controls the wing position as a function of current Mach via the wing-sweep program, this is known as the AUTO mode. The pilot can also select a wing position aft of the wing-sweep program manually or choose the BOMB mode that sets the wings to 55° or further aft depending on the program. Simply put, the CADC wing-sweep program determines the max forward position of the wings. Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria
