pappavis Posted July 29, 2022 Posted July 29, 2022 Can a server running SRS co-exist with ED's Voice Chat? When someone transmits (having SRS installed & connected), does that overrule DCS Voice Chat, or ignores it, or does the radio transmission goes to both SRC & Voice chat? Since flying online I've never, ever heard anyone talking on Voice Chat. Those servers also runs SRS. I mostly fly the JF-17 and tuned to the assigned AWACS/JTAC channel and never hear anyone talking. Could be that there is noone talking, or I'm not in the correct DCS Voice Chat Room. met vriendelijke groet, Михель "умный, спортсмен, комсомолетс" [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] [TABLE]SPECS: i9-9900K 32gigs RAM, Geforce 2070RTX, Creative XFi Fata1ity, TIR5, Valve Index & HP Reverb, HOTAS Warthog, Logitech G933 Headset, 10Tb storage.[/TABLE]
2alpha-down0 Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 (edited) Assuming the PTT button for VoIP and SRS are both mapped to the same control, the transmission should go out on both services without conflict. They do not interfere with or talk to each other in any way. Edited July 31, 2022 by 2alpha-down0 2 Early Cold War Servers https://discord.gg/VGC7JxJWDS
streakeagle Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 This appears to have changed. I am still testing to confirm the issue, but it seems that when DCS Voice Chat and SRS are both enabled that SRS periodically disconnects and has to be manually reconnected every time it does so. As soon as I turned off DCS Voice Chat and executed a clean start up of DCS and supporting software (SRS, VAICOM, and Simshaker), the problem seems to have gone away. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
