Since dcs 2.9.2.49940 when i join a mission dcs crashes. Before the update everything worked fine. This describes my problem:

Allowing an UA flag while banning Z is inconsitent. Either allow both, or none. To prove a point. I've changed my profile pic to the Zorro-movie logo . That was my €0,01 contribution.

Dear siteadmins. Please act on users expressing their geopolitical view for example, having a certain country' flag as profile picture as per 24-Feb-2022. At present time having a flag as profile pic is a unnecasary provocation. I consider DCS - a neutral safe democratic forum for everyone from all (geo) political views - to talk about DCS & flying. - No geopolitics - No provocations by using flags as profile pics Even if a geopolitical view is radically differnt than someone else, one can find common ground in hobbies, love&affection, and mannny other topics. And myself having experienced 3 radically different language-cultures: African, Asian & EU cultures my conclusion is: we are very much alike in many things. Thanks & safe flying.

Same here, right X-axis failure, and left Z-axis only moves from 50% to 100%. Failure was after <>336 hours of use. I've got some hobby electronics experience & test equipment and will look into this. If there is a hall sensor, whats the voltage? I've got a Rigol scope and will investigate too.

The Ka-50 III - Missile warning dispenses flares when a Mi-24P launches Ataka & Shturm, even when the Mi-24P is like >=12kms away. This happens especially on multiplayer servers. Is it "normal" intended behaviour?

SOLVED. The solution was as described below . In the AI Helper menu I forgot the button assignments for up, down, right and left. Now it works just like the Warthog stick. Thanks!

I want switches exactly like those on the Winwing Orion HOTAS. As a hobbyist I have a collection of SPDT on/off switches, and potmeters (10k, 100k etc) for various home automation stuff. Where on AliExpress can one buy; - 3-position switches which can have 3x key assignments - Clickety Rotary Encoders which can assign 2x key assignments - Momentary 2 position, used in the F-18C Flight Panel for the CRS-adjustment To be precise: those on the Winwing Orion HOTAS. I love the light rumble effect. I spend 11 years with a HOTAS Warthog stick and mostly fly the Ka-50 and JF-17 in VR on my HP Reverb G2. In the Ka-50 you can "feel" turns and the Vortex Ring of Death is get it shakey Having never flown a real heli, I wont know if this effect is real. But, it adds to the immersion. Rumble is definitely useful.

I just received my Orion 2 EX flightstick the George / Petrovich. The cycle target from list is not working. My Winwing Orion 2 EX button assignment Mi-24P Function Keypress Winwing Button Show AI Petrovich X-hair LCTRL+V SHORT (left) Button 35 Designate / target cursor up « W » SHORT (up) Button 32 target cursor down « W » SHORT (down) Button 34 select designated target from list « D » SHORT (RIGHT) Button 33 - Show AI petrovich X-hair -- Button 35 - Designate/select cycle up - Button 32 - Select cycle down - Button 34 - « D » SHORT (RIGHT) The button assignments corresponds exactly to my Warthog flightstick, mapped to the "TMS" -buttons, which when I show petrocich, then designate using the X-hair it shows me the targetlist which i can scroll using the TMS-buttons, fine.. I looove the Jeff. Functional and weapons payload its in some respects equal, or better than the F-16C. Adding the Hlemet mounted Cuing system will make complete it. Those SD-10s can do some weeeeeird turning sh*t.

Can a server running SRS co-exist with ED's Voice Chat? When someone transmits (having SRS installed & connected), does that overrule DCS Voice Chat, or ignores it, or does the radio transmission goes to both SRC & Voice chat? Since flying online I've never, ever heard anyone talking on Voice Chat. Those servers also runs SRS. I mostly fly the JF-17 and tuned to the assigned AWACS/JTAC channel and never hear anyone talking. Could be that there is noone talking, or I'm not in the correct DCS Voice Chat Room.

I've installed my Combat Ready & Flight panels. However, they do not sync to DCS. Is that normal? In SimAPP I chose option "sync" however no changes were made in export.lua. Therefore, I had to manually add the each button/switch/dial to the F-18, and other aircraft. Not a big deal. Aside from that, both panels are working fine and happy customer. Winwing combat ready panel Does it sync, does SimAPP make an export.lua? Can it be used without defining each button press in DCS?

I *love* the JF-17. Its been my favourite plane since release. I prefer it even above the F-16C Some questions regarding the C-802AK anti-ship missile; 1. When in coordinates mode (pre-planned) is it possible to copy it from the Destinations, instead of manually keying it in? 2. Does the missile go active at the given coordinates? 3. How far away from the coordinates does the missile go active, ? 4. Specifying its cruise height to HIGH does something weird when I fly <>20,000ft: the missile lofts into near-space and dont come down to hit the target. Looks like my ownship altitude influences the height-setting.

Solved. 1. Set the ground radar as SOI. 2. On the radar MFD, select SLV 3. On the numeric UFC change the waypoint Result: The radar crosshair does jump to the intended waypoint.

Putting the source on Github, and allow intrested parties to check out the code, submit bugfixes would greatly benefit all.

Unlike the F-16C the JF-17' ground radar & WMD& targetting doenst slave to waypoint so it seems. I have valid waypoints, using "FP-A" mode and SLV selected. For example: slecting a waypoint, then press the <- buttan, and its not slaving. What am i doing wrong? Version: DCS 2.7.9.18080 Open Beta

Southern Africa (Angola, Namibia) had air-to-air dogfigting in the 1980s. South African Airforce flew Mirage F1s, Atlas Cheetahs vs Cuban MiG-21s & MiG-23s. Lotsa ground action in conventional wat with tanks, artillery & COIN operations. From mapmaker perspective its less work, as South Angola is sparsely populated, very few airbases, flat, small towns with few features. That should make a mapmakers' life easier.

SOLVED. Solution: 1. Unplug the Reverb completely from your computer both USB & Displayport. 2. Go to Windows Settings, Apps, then uninstall Windows Mixed Reality. 3. Reboot 4. Reconnect the Reverb And let Windows Mixed Reality get installed again. 5. Configure controllers , room size etc 6. Install Steam VR & Windows Mixed Reality for Steam if it isnt installed already. 7. Start DCS. ENJOY flying with zero freezes!!

SOLVED. Thanks! Yes, on my HOTAS Warthog the boat swithch (bug grey one) was in forward position. When i set it in middle (neutral) and clicked the AG-button ground radar appeared. Thanks @Deano87

Starting in the air, pressing the AG-button nothing happens. No ground radar, no change of stores in SMS. Only AA works. HUH?! DCS version 2.7.7.15038 Open Beta What I do: 1. Start a mission in air. AA radar default to on. 2. Payload: 2x AGM-88C HARM, 2x external tanks, 4x AMI-120C 3. Set Master Arm to ON 4. Press the AG button. (nothing happens) What did I do wrong? My DCS freezes every <>10 minutes in VR for 18 to 21 seconds, with cockpit sound continuing in a loop. I'm using a HP Reverb. VR flying is absolutely impossible, let alone any dogfighting! The freeze only happens in VR, and only with DCS. None of my other VR-games suffers. I played Half-Life: Alyx with no freezes. My DCS is installed on 1Tb SSD with 250Gb free space, my C-drive has 3,4Gb free. i've tried: - Setting all DCS gfx settings to Low. Didn't solve it. - Updating Nvidea drivers to latest version. Didn't solve it. - Setting my WMR refresh to 90Hz. Didn'ts olve it. - Reinstalled DCS disabling all mods & skins. Didn't solve it. - ALL of the above combined. Didn't solve it. Computer specs: - Intel i9-9900k with 32Gb RAM, RTX 2070 videocard etc., enough HD-space availale.

My DCS-experience begain with Flanker 2.0 back in 2001 :). I've been simming since 1985 on a Commodore 64 with Solo Flight, then onto Falcon 1.0 on an Amiga, and caught a Flanker 2.0 in 2001. Now, got nearly all DCS modules and flying in VR with my HP Reverb. I'm a aspsiring cockpit builder with home-electronics lab - Oscilloscope: Siglent SDS1104X-E - Soldering station: KSGER T12 - Ruideng DPS5005 lab bench power supply - DDS signal generator. - Creality Ender 3 3d printer for work.. working IT-tech from home supporting a worldwide userbase.. and for DCS still lots to discover :)
