GhostRyder13 Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 My wife is wanting to play this game with me, so i created a mission for us to train. I went to multiplayer hit new server and loaded it up, but we are having issues with the fact that it won't let us connect to each other. I've looked up all of the trouble shooting fixes telling me to make sure that i have port forwarding for 10308, but that doesn't help or apply in my case, because I can't forward the port on 2 computers. I have done the firewall trouble shoots for that port on both computers. I also made sure that we are both running the same open beta version. We would just really like to play together, but I've been trying to work on this for 2 days and I'm about at wits end. Any help would be much appreciated.

I assume you're both in the same local network? In that case forget about configuring ports on your router and such, as your wife should just be able to just use the local IP of your computer to connect (usually starting with 192.168...). (Unless DCS has some issue with local connections that I'm not aware of, as I have never tested to join a DCS server in the same network) Edited August 1, 2022 by QuiGon Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

Don't worry about make port forwarding on your router if you just want to play with your wife in the same LAN. Just make sure to open the 10308 TCP and UDP Port in your windows firewall, or other firewall that you may have active/installed. After that don't expect to see the server in the server list, just start DCS on both PC, in the host machine ( usually the most powerful between the two computer ) go into multiplayer, and use the "new server" button, setup the mission etc, and start flying. In the other machine use the CONNECT BY IP button in the multiplayer menu, and type the local IP address of the server machine, typically something like 192.168.1.XX 1 FlighRIG => CPU: RyZen 5900x | RAM: 64GB Corsair 3000Mhz | GPU: nVIDIA RTX 4090 FE | OS Storage: SSD NVMe Samsung 850 Pro 512GB, DCS Storage: SSD NVMe Sabrent 1TB | Device: Multipurpose-UFC, VirPil T-50, TM WARTHOG Throttle, TrackHat, MFD Cougar with screen.
