Simulated_Flyer Posted August 6, 2022 Posted August 6, 2022 It would be nice for aircraft like the L-39 which doesn't have a great radio setup to be able to use the NS:430 "COM" as radio 1. Maybe add a selectable box in the settings that allows this if the NS:430 is install in the aircraft. 1
River Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 I was under the impression it works as a radio but after reading a few threads it's not. The product description is wrong and misleading. My guess is the NS430 won't be touched by ED again. No progress since years. 1
rampager Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 Was also very disappointed to find I couldn't use this as a separate comms systems in the Spitfire, given it has only fixed radio frequencies. I figured this module acted just like any other aftermarket GPS/Radio that you see in the real aircraft upon what it's based. The manual mentions multiple times that you can tune a COM frequency, especially on the NAVCOM page where it lists nearest airport frequencies. What's the point if they don't work? I would have asked for a refund but it's still useful as a GPS when I'm having a bimble around and not being historically accurate. 1
