JHepburn Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 I've taken off a few times and noticed that my three autopilot channels have either turned off or are flashing (new on my last flight). I checked the manual and can't find the answer...can anyone tell me what flashing autopilot channel lights mean or why the autopilot may turn itself off after being turned on? Thanks! Jeff
EvilBivol-1 Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 Although I don't have a specific description, flashing lights generally mean you tried to have the AP do something it wasn't supposed to. This could be engaging automatic modes (like auto-hover) below 4 meters altitude or when the pitch/roll angles exceed the autopilot limits. Also, you may have taken off before the INS was fully lined up. - EB [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Nothing is easy. Everything takes much longer. The Parable of Jane's A-10 Forum Rules
JHepburn Posted January 2, 2009 Author Posted January 2, 2009 Perfect. It's very possible that both of those could have been true. Thanks!
