sparrows Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Hi, best military sim ever for sure. After some days of trainig i run the first mission, ossetian pirats, grate to cross the mountain border to hit them. But one thing happens every time, after some time flying EKRAN tells me ELEC on AKKU , wich says i´m now at batter power wich will then end in an autorotate landing. I switched throttels two step up to auto and the generator switches are in the upper position. What did i miss ? :hmm: Peter
VikVaughan Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 (edited) Turn on the generators on the right electrical panel, near the battery switches. GGTharos Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Your rotor RPM is too low. What's going on with your heli? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda

Try to turning on your rotor anti ice and your engine cover switches to anti-ice instead of dust.(Overhead pannel) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] System Specs Intel I7-3930K, Asrock EXTREME9, EVGA TITAN, Mushkin Chronos SSD, 16GB G.SKILL Ripjaws Z series 2133, TM Warthog and MFD's, Saitek Proflight Combat pedals, TrackIR 5 + TrackClip PRO, Windows 7 x64, 3-Asus VS2248H-P monitors, Thermaltake Level 10 GT, Obutto cockpit
sparrows Posted January 3, 2009 Author Posted January 3, 2009 Hi, thanks first for answers from all Pilots of this mighty heli. Ekran tells me sto start anti ice and i did, engine anti ice too, but maybe i didn´t switched it like it should, is i t a three way switch ? Okay, i start the misson again, i want to hit the a.. of the pirates now....
Murphyd Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 The Engine de-icing/dust protection switch is three-way. First time you throw it, you will enable engine dust protection system. The second time will enable engine de-icing. -- Murphy
miguez Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Hi sparrows, To add to Murphy's answer, there are green indicator lights for both the dust protection and engine anti-ice systems. They are on the Right Overhead Panel. Always make sure they come on when turning on the system. Best regards,
sparrows Posted January 3, 2009 Author Posted January 3, 2009 Hey, that was the trick, now i can fly the mission. Dumb, i should have seen that !
Agg Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Ah, great thread, I've had exactly the same problem, and turns out I forgot to turn on the engine anti-ice systems, will try that later :)
sparrows Posted January 3, 2009 Author Posted January 3, 2009 Fascinating the deep avionik of this simulation. Men you have to learn alot. I´m long time user of FS , flying PMDG MD11 without porblem. But here, learn flying, learn systems, learn weapons and a lot more. You have to learn a lot what i have seen inside the mission against the pirats, othewise you have no chance.
Slayer Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Just remember don't always run the anti ice for engines....Only use as needed because I think it lowers your engine perfomance. Tango Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Hi, Both dust and ice protection takes a little bit of engine power. Best regards, Tango.
-Nighthawk- Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Had the same problem after 30 minutes of flight, I had rotor anti-ice, never knew there was engine anti-ice too ;)
