Somu Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 Hello i have Dcs world stable and open beta versions in desktop pc I want to buy a laptop and How can i transfer my account my modules and maps in to new laptop? I want to use laptop to go another city for work or vacation. Is it working if i only install dcs version on to laptop then copy paste saves games maps and modules into new install directory?
MAXsenna Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 Just install on the laptop, and logoff from the desktop when you travel. DCS copy protection will take care of it. You can install to as many computers as you like. But only one concurrent login. If you want your laptop to download modules and maps quicker, copy the relevant core folders from the desktop. If you want to sync the Saved Games folders, like the logbook/input etc. You need to either copy the folders manually, or move the Saved Games folders to Onedrive or similar. 1

Actually your account is at ED’s servers, you just need to remember your account name and password. The modules and maps are usually at /program files/eagle dynamics/ .. you can just copy this folder to the new laptop drive. To save space, you could transfer just the folder of one version, either OB or stable. 4 hours ago, Somu said: I want to use laptop to go another city for work or vacation. windows offers a cloud drive, microsoft calls it "one drive", if you use the same microsoft credentials on both computers and then let windows place /saved games/ on the cloud drive, you would then get automatic dcs document synchronization on both computers. 1 For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
