Some questions about VR and how to setup the damn thing

So i just started with DCS(standalone) and bought everything 

But now my brain with the remining cells in it can't figure out how to setup the Quest 2 to play with it 

can someone direct me to something that helps me setup the quest?

I had a Rift S, not a Quest, but I doubt much has changed. There is an Oculus app you can get off their website you'll need. At one point you needed a Facebook account, but afaik it's back to being independent now. As I remember it walks you through the process and tells you what to plug in and what to do. Pretty easy to set up in comparison to most other stuff.

  Oculus headsets may be somewhat inferior to others in some ways, but props to their UI and infrastructure for working consistently, at least in my experience. Helluva lot less trouble than juggling WMR/Steam/OpenXR with my Reverb was.

I own a Rift, here is what you should do :

- start DCS alone ( without occulus running ), 'enable VR' in settings, choose 'VR Default setting' for the first run ( good fps bad quality )

- close DCS

- start occulus

- check that everything is green about materials AND allow unknow sources about application ( DCS is not part from occulus store )

- put the headset on your head : check your VR world is running fine from your eyes ( no stutter when moving head etc.. )

- start DCS  , click DCS autorisation login , splash DCS screen should come up, enjoy !

- If everything is ok, now tune DCS Setting to get quality/performance balance as you want ( backup DCS settings when happy )
