Just had the mosquito a couple days, still assigning controls, today when spawning the "Default" F-1 cockpit view is stuck looking straight up, and can't get it to change,

any ideas how to fix this:

I tried deleting the mosquito and re downloading. but noting has changed. All other Aircraft work just fine, its just the mosquito ??

Hi! Try deleting the snapviews.lua, or open it and remove all entries for the Mossie.
At some point you might have accidently pressed the "RAlt + Num0" combo that saves the default view.
Hope this helps.

Cheers!

Null. I was certain you were right as I went through all the RAlt+numbers to observe the views, I have deleted the SnapViews.Lua. but still no change

How to repair/cleanup or update DCS World:   https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/repair/

If you use any mods in the game installation folder, make sure to backup those (no worries for those in the saved gamed folders).

Funny: as I have the "Steam" version, these "repair" articles don't appear to apply.

now I have repaired through steam no change

I deleted the whole DCS re downloaded. no change

I even deleted and re downloaded into a different drive still no change, the default cockpit is straight up. no change. ??

are there some config files that don't delete when you delete through steam. or I have even deleted through " control panel "  still the same

Ah! Yes, it's different repair procedure in Steam.
You can try re-naming the whole Saved Games (It's not touch during repair, and only where user settings are), folder just to make sure the problem is somewhere in there for starters.

new to DCS, got it for the Mosquito, day 2 of assigning keys and I did something to change the default cockpit view (F-1_ to looking straight up.

haven't been able to change this.  posted this problem originally here:

I have even deleted all Steam "user" files deleted steam, re downloaded steam and DCS. and still have "straight up default view. So hoping someone "Here" might have a fix ?  Theres always an answer for everything computer !!

Denis! Read through that other thread again. I assumed you used TrackIR. Do you use head tracking at all? If not, what do you use for moving the view around?

For future, reference. All user settings are stored in the "Saved Games". So deleting/repairing the game/modules etc. will never help if the error is in the user settings.

In your first post, you mention that you changed some controls etc. I have a feeling that the error might be there. For an easy check, close DCS rename this folder, and start DCS again, and check.

If you don't have OpenBeta, just look under DCS in the path.

What controls joystick etc. do you use?
