impossible to see MP private mission

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hi all,

With a friend we're not able to see our servers(mission in coop) at all ! We succed in playing on other servers (4YA, aso), but each time we try to launch our own mission we can't see the mission on server list, and we can't connect direct to IP.

We checked the port forwarding from the router (10308), it's OK. We checked M$ firewall, it's OK...

We have no idea what to check more to make it works.

What we do :

1) Selecting Mission

2) Launch Multiplayer server

3)Selecting servername/pwd

4) checking the "public server" box

5) Launch

But impossible to see the server in the list neither connecting with IP.

Is there anyone that can help us to make private coop mission?

Thanks by advance,

A.

If your firewall and port forward settings is correct, there is the small chance that your ISP is not giving you a public IP address, and you're under what is called CG-NAT.
Basically if you're under CGNAT network you'll not be able to HOST a mission.

Generally you can check on Internet information about your ISP, call him, or try some guide like this ( not tested ) https://www.remoterig.com/wp/?page_id=3494

FlighRIG => CPU: RyZen 5900x | RAM: 64GB Corsair 3000Mhz | GPU: nVIDIA RTX 4090 FE | OS Storage: SSD NVMe Samsung 850 Pro 512GB, DCS Storage: SSD NVMe Sabrent 1TB | Device: Multipurpose-UFC, VirPil T-50, TM WARTHOG Throttle, TrackHat, MFD Cougar with screen.

Our Servers => [ITA] Banshee | Krasnodar - PvE | PersianConquest PvE Live Map&Stats | Syria Liberation PvE Conquest

I checked the link and my public IP adress is the same one than the adress given by the router one

don't know if it help, but i checked, i've got a fixed IP Full Stack.

After that, i guess that i've reached the limit of my internet knowledge!

Post the screen of your firewall settings and port forwarding, remember to do it for TCP and UDP, both protocol on port 10308

Not sure about "NAT : SIP ALG", but I guess is more related to VoIP traffic, I don't believe it's the problem.

Regarding your windows firewall settings, let's try to create PORT specif exception rather than allow the application.

Search in the windows bar "Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security" or when in the main windows of defender, click on the Advanced Settings on the left:

Then go in Inbound Rules on the left => New Rule... on the right.

Follow the wizard using the PORT settings, start with TCP and than repeat the step to add also UDP exception.

Let's try this and let me know 😉

Many thanks Shaka, i'll try!

Just a curious things: When i launch a netstat -a to check wich port is used on my PC when a MP mission is launched : there is no task regarding the 10308 port : is it normal?

should i take look into IPV6?

I also checked whith https://canyouseeme.org/  that the 10308 port was open, and it was ok.

You can check on ED website if your server is listed:
From your profile ED webpage, click on ACTIVE SERVER LIST, and  than you have "my servers" tabs on top, you need to be logged with the same account that is running the server

This is not a guarantee that everyone or your friend can join the server, but for sure if it's not listed here it will not able to join.
You can also check if your IP is reachable from outside using online port scanner or with a friend that make a check with packet sender application or similar application.
