Looking to set up a screen shot of height and distance,as a visual go by for...Rule of thumb...

How far distance from landing point to START alitiude 500 and speed 50 and flight path vector -200fpm?  Just need the distance!

First, calculate how long it takes you to descent 500ft with a rate of 200ft/min.

then calculate how far you get in that time and then you have your distance.

You could then also go ahead and calculate the angle if you want.
