Gunfreak Posted October 6, 2022 Posted October 6, 2022 So I got the CM3 base today and extender and stick, I removed the cam and springs so it just stays where I put it to make it more like a Cyclic. However I find it very hard to control. I thought that with an extender I wouldn't need cruves(I never used curves on my Winwing F18 stick with extender) but I find it really really hard to get into a half decent hover with this thing. Even as I keep the stick back from center it will go forward. And unlike my regular stick , I get a lot of side slips when I try and hover. i7 13700k @5.2ghz, GTX 5090 OC, 128Gig ram 4800mhz DDR5, M2 drive.
HC_Official Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 how does your CM3 base feel when either 1. doing small circles 1 to 2cm in diameter 2. moving from center position and doing small diagonal movements No more pre-orders Click here for tutorials for using Virpil Hardware and Software Click here for Virpil Flight equipment dimensions and pictures. .
Dogmanbird Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 (edited) Hi Gunfreak, I don't have a virpil base - but if you mainly intend to use the base for helicopters, (I know people love their nyogel 767a) i'd suggest trying some pg44a. It has the consistency of tree sap and should allow you to have a very damped feel even with clutches very loose, reducing stiction during small movements normally caused by tightening the clutches, and keep the stick in place. If it still drifts at the extremes, a soft centre cam with softest spring, will likely fix it. Edited October 25, 2022 by Dogmanbird
