ivanwong1989 Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 Hi, Been trying out the F1. It's a nice bird. However something's bothering me. Is the severe roll imbalance after firing a missile correctly modeled or is it unintended? Loadout is Center 1x R530 IR, Wing 2xSidewinders. After just firing 1 sidewinder, the flight's a bit wonky. 5
MysteriousHonza Posted October 10, 2022 Posted October 10, 2022 Imbalance for heaters seems to be grossly overdone, they have what, barely 100kilos? I get the chonky 530 or bombs but firing magic is like dropping 1000 pounder from other jets. 4
turkeydriver Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 The 550 is a fat missile with more drag and vibration impact that an AIM-9. The F1 has tiny wingtips- I dont doubt the need for trim 1 VF-2 Bounty Hunters https://www.csg-1.com/ DCS F-14 Pilot/RIO Discord: https://discord.gg/6bbthxk

cmbaviator Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 even if it has no Autotrim like the 2000, you find it hard to belive that even after firing one 530, the plane will roll severly on the side where the missile was fired. on the 2000, you can fired both the 530 and Matra II from the same side and it will not roll an inch but i guess the FBW will set the flight control accordingly to avoid roll, even the F16 anf JF17 doesnt do that lol
