Just looking through some tapes showing apache HDU symbology. And I notice that the acceleration cue shown in these videos moves around a lot more than the one we have in DCS. I would conclude that the cue in the apaches that these videos are taken from represents a smaller range of accelerations before becoming saturated, so that a small acceleration will appear as a larger offset compared to the apache we have in DCS.

Now the issue is that I don't have any tapes from a mid 2000s block 2, but I imagine an SME would be able to confirm whether the sensitivity of the cue is something that was changed with the upgrades.
