Try by clicking on the ejection handle (over your head or between your leg. If it works then but not with the Ctrl-E, check your inputs settings. It will disappear if the radar cover is removed.But you can still drag the pin out if you hover the mouse where it should be and drag it away.I prefer to do it before I remove the cover, just to be sure.Cheers!
