CrashMeTwice Posted June 11, 2023 Author Posted June 11, 2023 (edited) Force Trim Mod Update! Greeting Pilots! Today I have finished the rear bottom brace. This cross brace connects the rear vertical posts together and has the hole for mounting it to the Aluminum 4080 Profile. With this step completed I now can proceed with building the system for the Y-axis of the cyclic. Edited June 12, 2023 by CrashMeTwice 1

CrashMeTwice Posted December 24, 2023 Author Posted December 24, 2023 Greeting Pilots! Force Trim Mod, New video up! Today, I would like to share with you part 6 of the Force Trim Mod. Progress update: All the eight holes in each carrier plate are drilled and I have mounted the carrier for the pitch axis to the rail blocks. I made four aluminum bars cut from a 6061 aluminum rod using my portable band saw. and then machined them in the mill. They work as posts to hold the machined steel plate in place via two spring loaded bolts. This way they can return to the origin position when the magnet releases. When the magnet is powered up the mounted steel bar makes contact and holds the carrier securely in that position (without any play or gap). I have also machined the slot on the cross brace of the force trim mod chassis to have room for the carrier with the attached steel bar which now can travel all the way to the end of the chassis frame despite the adjustment bolts. I fully tested the electric-magnet system and everything works!
ChrisIhao Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 (edited) Excellent craftsmanship. Looks so clean and professional. Wish I had the equipment, knowledge and time to do something like that. I bet you'll have the best cyclic stick in the world once you're done. Oh, when does mass production start? This is my most ambitious project as of yet. I am about at the half way point. I work on it ones or twice a week to avoid burning myself out on the project. I am glad you enjoy watching what I am doing here, it means a lot. Have a great day!
