Yall catch a lot of flack (very passionate player base) so I figured I would share my mind. There is nothing like this game out there. The visuals with 2.8 are a decent improvement, the BFM AI is extremely fun... I know 2.8 hurt some performance (myself a VR player), but I do know that rewriting an engine is no joke. So keep it up, I get to spend countless hours getting smoked by my old man (former adversary pilot) and many other things. 20 years ago I could never imagined I would be strapping into a F18. Keep working the core of the game and the future will be bright!

though I'm not totally in love with every aspect of the new lighting, it's a big step forward overall imho. Plus I'm one of the lucky ones who has gained some VR performance on top of what was already a great flying experience

DCS has to be the most ambitious, realistic, and remarkable military (flight or otherwise) simulator ever released to the public! It is absolutely brilliant. It is a resource HOG to be sure, and it is the bane of the VR crowd at the moment it appears...but as an old-school-pancake guy, DCS is simply the greatest. When a Dynamic campaign finally arrives, married to some proper HT and Vulkan implementation...my goodness. And then there's Winwing: this is the golden age of military flight sim-ing - And Eagle Dynamics has led the charge. Keep at it, Team!
