Does anyone know if better FFB implementation is in the backlog for the F1?

that would be awesome, thanks. what about any force effects like stall buffeting or ground roll?

Of course not. That is not realistic.

the Jf-17 has fantastic ground roll rumble implemented that simulates what it feels like to takeoff and land at high speeds (the plane vibrates the faster you go). so not sure what "that is not realistic" means. this is what I was talking about, hope that clears things up

This aircraft doesn't have stick shaker that simulates stall vibration, like some commercial airplanes have.

In our module vibration effects are simulated visually, not through FFB, that wouldn't be realistic.

@ Vibora…..I think you are missing a trick in that case…….have you ever flown the Heatblur Tomcat using an FFB stick? It’s completely amazing and adds hugely to the immersion of flying …….in real life, if the jet is shaking and vibrating, you feel this through the seat and controls. Heatblur models the shaking of the cockpit very well as well, so glad you are doing this at least. Is the trim movement incorporated yet?

Haptics add massively to the simming experience, just ask anyone who uses an FFB stick or jet seat…….

With respect I think you miss the point of FFB, it isn't always about replicating what the "stick" alone does in the real world, it is about translating other subtle effects to the player they would otherwise feel from actually sitting in the real aircraft, the onset of buffet for example, maybe if developers took these things a little more seriously we would see advances in FFB implementation and design that we have seen comparably the last 20yrs in racing games, the difference over that 20yrs has been night and day differences for the player.

If you want inspirational implementation take a look at the MB339 mod (back when it was a mod), those guys implemented FFB in a way that surpassed implementation in most of the payware.

We implement forces on the stick and movement due to trim inputs, same as in the real aircraft. There's a bug in current open beta version, which fix will be available in next update.

Would you consider some of the other nice fx we see in other modules, for example buffet effects when you exceed optimal AoA etc ? it makes flying those aircraft feel as seat of the pants as you can get without actually sitting in them when you have just a little feedback in your hands like that ?? other easy wins are feeling the expansion joints as the wheels go between the concrete slabs at the airfields, super low key stuff that add tons to immersion ? a gentle vibration when you deploy the flaps, I could go on but I digress, anything you are prepared to put into this is massively appreciated as it really does elevate the experience flying when it is implemented fully - in just the same way my Jetseat adds a ton as well.
